lorkongusu Richard Ayila aka Budees is a Nigeria Afro singer, songwriter and recording artist debuting his talents to the international music scene. He was born in Plateau State to Benue State parents and his love for music developed and blossomed during his secondary school days. He’s a graduate from Fidei Polytechnic Gboko, Benue state with a degree in Mass Communication.

Budees began his musical career as leader of a Rap club in Jos, Plateau state where he interacted with some of Nigeria’s biggest recording artists like Od Woods, T-Spize, and Skuad E.

Budees was initially an artist under Passionate Records, releasing his first recording, Love Vision and Pretty ladies locally in 2010. In early 2011 he got signed with Ape Vibes Records releasing “Ide Yuhwe” and “Shake Ukwu” featuring Slow C. Due to creative differences, Budees parted ways with Ape Vibes the release of his singles.

He became an Afrobeat singer in 2014 and he continued to advance his musical career by participating in the Nigerian Idol, Season 4. In 2017, Budees released “Sangaly” and “Begedogh” under his record label Tiv Boy Music Empire (TBME) imprint.

In 2018, Budees was awarded “Best Campus Music Artist of the Year” and “Most Popular Music Artist of the Year” in 2019. He is a talented individual who is also an actor with a role in Golden Paradise (Home of Tiv Movie’s) and starred in “Torkuma Ken Ghana”, and “Idyako | Bokwagh”.

Budees debuts his international single Closer, in March 2020.
